Just so you folks know... the site rescales larger images to a 640 pixel width. They also get converted to .jpg which pixelates them a little. That's why we have to give a hand to simplysara for filling in the blanks on the paint by numbers by kohnel... the pixelation makes it hard to use the paintbucket, so she probably spent a lot of time with the brush. Anyway, I usually set my width to 640 pixels, then choose the length depending on what I'm going to draw. Lol, so I guess that's my mspaint trick for the day.

Erm.. ^^;;

Not really a trick, persay, but I like to enlarge the picture to several times what I intend to use to do details. It helps with shading and adding in subtle colors, and when I have it where I'm satisfied, will shrink it back down to the size...

Any time you convert to jpg, the compression algorithm makes it lose resolution. However, from what I can tell from this site, the pics are going to be compressed anyway, just to save on memory on the servers. I can talk to the site owners about it. I usually upload them as .pngs.

When drawing a character, simply just draw one half of the body and then copy paste. When you have done that flip the copiëd selection and compress it to the other side. Saves alot of time!

lol, when I draw people, I really like seeing how bad my drawing is, so I think I'll keep drawing both sides. Copy and paste would help me on other stuff though.
